JOB SUMMARY:
The position we have available is for an experienced Scale House Lead and is critical to our continued growth and success. Serves as the operator of the scale for both public and private customers, intake accurate weights through the system, calculate payments, manage shipping paperwork.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Great customers, direct traffic and answer questions
- Managing the day to day operations of the Scale House
- Oversea input of data into our software and ensure all employees follow protocol
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to daily, weekly and monthly shipping
- Communicate with street customers, process public payments and monitor cash drawer
- Keep supervisor and other coworkers informed of all shipments and paperwork
- Keep supervisor and other coworkers informed of all problems or matters requiring attention
- Work overtime and weekends as needed
- Providing clerical and administrative support to management and office
- Oversee the general upkeep and supply needs of the scale house
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
- 2+ year’s experience in Scale house operations
- 1+ year supervisory experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- College degree highly desired
- Experience in scale house software (ROM, recycling operations management) highly desired
- Basic knowledge of scale master policies
- Basic math skills
- Quick learner and intelligent
- Excellent multi-tasking and project management
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong MS Office and computers skills
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Payroll experience
- Recycling or shipping experience a plus
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- The desire to do the job right every time
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- $13 - $15 per hour DOE
- 3 days PTO
- Accruable Vacation Time

Our recycling center is one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest, in the area per China Certification and Inspection Group (CCIC) inspectors that regularly review us. About 99 percent of our materials are kept indoors, and we take pride in our warehousing skills. Plus, all of our employees participate in ongoing training to maintain a safe, healthy, and hazard-free environment. Waste solutions are available for small, medium, and large generators of recyclable plastic and cardboard.
